You Were Awesome!

2016 Senate District 52 Endorsing Convention

With crowded halls and packed classrooms, you maintained your determination to be heard on the issues of the day.  Thank you for coming out to participate in the democratic process.  If we are going to keep our democracy not only alive, but healthy, then we need to show up and have our voices heard in a peaceful and respectful manner.  It was exciting to be a part of last night’s chaos. I was proud of the estimated 5,000 people from our Senate District who cared enough to stand in long lines, stand in over-crowded classrooms, and have civil conversations on issues of importance to them. (Organizationally, we can and will do better, but for a moment, let’s celebrate the energy of democrats in this Senate District.)

I am seeking the DFL endorsement and the next step in this journey is to win the votes of 60% of the people who signed up and show up to be “Delegates” at the March 12, 2016 District 52 Convention.  Inevitably some Delegates won’t be able to attend the Convention, so if you’re an “Alternate” and you attend the Convention, you may have an opportunity to become a Delegate and vote to endorse candidates for the Minnesota House, Senate, and Congressional District as well as vote on business of the Senate District.  It’s a great way to meet people, learn more about our Senate District, discuss issues and keep democracy alive AND well in America.  Feel free to bring lunch and/or snacks.
Saturday, March 12th
Henry Sibley High School
1897 Delaware Ave, Mendota Heights
Doors open at 8:30am
Registration starts at 9:00am
Convention begins at 10:00am

Vote Your Values

I’d like to have your support for the DFL endorsement for the House of Representatives in District 52B

If you are a Delegate or Alternate and you believe:
  • We need living wage jobs that provide sick and safe time to all workers;
  • We need to do a better job funding education so students can thrive in the 21st century;
  • We need health care that works for everyone;
  • We need housing that people who work in our communities can afford to live in;
  • We need early learning and post-secondary education that is affordable for students from modest income families;
  • Climate change is real, and we need to shift our economy in fundamental ways; AND

You want someone to represent you who will work hard to win in November, vote based on her progressive values, has a track record of success working at the intersection of environment, business, and social responsibility, then I hope you will come to the Convention on March 12 and vote to endorse me. I would be honored and humbled to serve the people of this district.

I will be reaching out to folks over the next ten days and you can reach me via email or phone at or 651-455-8452.  Thank you.
